Sounds like you brought a great car....To think, I almost made that choice.
With out seing the car, mate, I'd have trouble.
Firstly, tho, don't spend too much money on the anti-freeze unless you live near the snow.
The reason why this coolant is so expensive is because it's designed, as the tittle states, not to freeze in below 0C temps. There is an increased percentage of ethlene glycol to compensate for the harshness of the anti-freeze chemicals.
All you need is a good quality coolant with a good anti alloy corrosion rating.
Secondly, if the leak is still present, or your not happy with the repair, just run water for a few days. It works just as well.
Other than that I am not fimiliar with Jeep or Chrysler at all.
I just hope you've got a good mechanic that's had nothing to do with the causes of some of your troubles.
With the transfer selector fault I'd recommend an auto electrican. Ther're clever with that sort of stuff and usually find problems quickly. Yes, it does sound like a switch fault...
