Hey

Complete n00b to Holdens but in the process of dicking around with the stereo etc, does anyone know how to get the darn thing out? I'm stumped at removing the fascia mostly because Ive only just driven it off the lot and dont want to muscle anything off that Im not sure about.

Does the fascia have a 'hold the tongue on the right side of the mouth' trick or something to get it off?? VE SSV ute btw.

Cheers

To remove the facia just grab the bottom and pull.
To remove the IRC (Intergrated Radio Chassis) OR head unit, remove trim to access side connector and radio/antenna cable. Undo screws/bolts and remove. FUN! drinks.gif

Really? I grabbed the bottom of it before and it seems to be on there pretty tight, there are a couple of screws that sit behind the climate knobs either side so the face is plastic but has a metal backing which is screwed to what seems to be the rest of the car. Do you mean the whole lot or just the plastic face.... it all seems a little unnatural huh.gif

The whole cover! ohmy.gif
Climate contols/ the lot. What ever is attached. wink.gif
Approx. 250mm square. Pull hard. Held in by 4 lugs.
This is the way we used to confirm the face plate and audio unit part/serial no.'s. biggrin.gif
I havn't worked for a Holden Dealership for 6 mths now! I might be a little rusty! laugh.gif
