Hi All,
I have a noise in the front of my VTSS. I thought it was the left bearing hub which I replaced with a brand new unit last weekend, but the noise remains.
A mechanic inspected the old bearing, then took the car for a run and said "Sorry mate you wasted $240 bucks on the new bearing, its your front tyres." The front tyres, which have been on since Dec 07 still have plenty of meat on them and do not show any uneven wear at all.
I went home and swapped the fronts with the rears which were brand new 2 weeks ago. But the noise still remains.
While I was under the car I inspected all the suspension rubbers and bushes I could see and everything looks and feels OK.
It makes the noise when turning either way and between 60 to 80 ks in a straight line, any faster and the noise goes away.
The steering wheel does not wobble or shimmy at all.
I will get a wheel alignment on the weekend but unit then I dont know what else I can do.
Has anybody had the same type of problem?
Any thoughts will be great as Im running out of ideas, patience and probably soon money. LOL.
Thanx.
CRASH.

P.S If anyone wants to buy a good used VT series 1 ABS left front wheel bearing hub or an original VTSS front bar with spoiler,(painted Blue Bermuda Mica),but does not have spotties, spottie surrounds or grills. Has underscrapes but no visible damage, just let me know by posting reply.
$100 for the bar/spoiler and $30 for the hub.
Cheers
