Thermo fan will not cut in until...memory failure. Coolant temp of 104-5 degrees (roughly)
Will cut out again at 98 (approx).
Fan relays like to fail.

i have the same problem and it drives me insane i just cant work out what is causing this malfunction, any help would be appreciated. i have considered just going directly to the battery via a toggle switch. is this a good idea?

Hey there.
Again, the fan will only cut in whne the engine is hot enough.
When I used to test them it involved 5mins of above idle reving to generate enough coolant temp to engage the fans.
Is the car over heating? huh.gif
Running a toggle switch is not such a good idea...the engine will not run at the correct temperature possibly causing fueling issues, to name a few. Add to that you simply forget to switch it on!! Enough said.
